I.       Warm up

1 Greet the students.

2 Briefly review what was taught last time (review two sentence patterns), focusing on review the second pattern.

II.     Developing Activities

1.Practice the sentence pattern:

S+V…for fear (that)+S+ aux. + V

S+V…for fear of +N / Ving

2 Ask students to write down five sentences on the book and choose some students to write their answers on the blackboard.

2.1 Clearly explain the pattern and give examples.

 

3. Evoke students’ knowledge with the song  “Just the way You Are” and associate that with  the reading.

3.1 Ask students to listen the song carefully and write down what they ‘ve heard .

3.2 Choose several students to read their answers and ask them to write down on the blackboard.

3.3 Divide students into six groups and discuss the meaning of the lyrics.

3.4 Play MV about this song and let students sing loudly.

4. Reinforce the study of reading by asking the students to grasp the main ideas.

  4.1 Present paragraph 1 and explain clearly.

 

III.  Wrap up

1.      Briefly mention the main points taught today.

2.      Ask students to get prepared to share their opinions about what they think they are .
